Melbourne Animal Rescue rescues and re-home dogs and cats who are no longer wanted, or are in death row at Victorian pounds. We do this via our dedicated network of foster carers.
Is this your new best friend?
I enjoy being around children any time of the day as I have a personality that is as large as life, just as they do. I am people orientated and am happiest in an indoor environment. I enjoy sleeping on beds or anywhere in the house that is comfortable, so you may need to provide me with a collar that has a bell on it, I tend to follow my carers around the house as I like to know what’s going on, so yes “I’m a bit of a snoop” and when visitors arrive, I make a good effort at greeting them at my own time. I love to stretch and scratch so you may need to provide me with a scratch pole; as I am a tall young lady, I will need a larger litter box, as l like my personal time, l would like a litter box with a cover over it. I enjoy time lying in the sun however like to have something cool to lie beside, which saying this, I need to feel safe. I don’t like to much loud noises and can become scared of then just as I do with dogs, so you may need to give me some warning. I haven’t really been around dogs so I may require a slow introduction over a period of time. My ideal home would be where I am a sole feline so I can receive all the kitty love and attention.

Kitten Season 2010 we saved over 100 cats & kittens, please help us make 2011 a greater success.
We are in desperate need of foster carers. If you can help please download a form HERE
If you can't help with fostering be vigilant with desexing your own cats & educating the public why they should.
Feline overpopulation is a significant problem that leads to tens of thousands of cats being killed in VIC every year.
Whether it be fostering or educating others YOU can make a difference to this problem.
